What is an Alias?

An Alias (Token) is created during a payment or registration process. In order to be able to charge a consumer multiple times without having to require all the payment details again, the Alias can be used. In a typical E-Commerce application the alias would be saved in the consumers merchant profile as a registered payment method.

Supported use cases

  • Cardholder initiated payments (One Click Checkout)
  • Merchant initiated payments (Subscriptions, monthly billing)
