No. In the upcoming years, 3D Secure 1 and 3D Secure 2 will both be supported.

No. The issuer has to care about biometry as part of strong customer authentication.

Does a merchant have to care about strong customer authentication?

No. The issuer is in charge of applying SCA (e.g. 2-factor-autentication, biometry).

Which New data fields are most effective to achieve a frictionless flow?

There is no experience on this. Each issuer will handle this in a different way. In addition, there is no guarantee for frictionless flows.
